I have some decoys that are in need of painting and I'm kicking the idea around of doing it myself. A few questions for the experienced....
What paint have y'all had best luck with?
What kind of prep have you done prior to painting?
Does attention to detail factor in or just making them look "good enough"?
Has anyone tried the new UV paints, and have you seen any improvement in bird reaction to it?
Any and all input would be welcome

Re: Painting Decoys
I've got some I need to touch up too. I'm considering flocking the divers but dont know if I'll have time. The last ones I painted I did with a rattle can and they didn't turn out real great and the paint didn't hold up real well.
Re: Painting Decoys
We flocked some old coots this year, they look good on the water.
Re: Painting Decoys
I highly recommend flocking. I have been flocking all my old decoys. Its fun and they look great but it is time consuming.
