What's Yall favorite favorite rod and reel combo?
I personally like the Calcutta 200B on a 7'6" Calcasieu Xtreme custom rod. I mainly fish for redfish and specks. I don't do a lot of fresh water fishing. Just seeing what other combos yall are using.

Nautilus NV-G on a 9ft 8wt Sage salt for inshore fishing and bass
Nautilus NV-G on a Scott meridian 10 wt for bigger inshore fish
Orvis battenkill on a Helios 2 9 ft 5 wt and Orvis superfine 4 wt for trout
Have a couple others but those are my favorites for any fishing I do.

I've got at least a dozen or so different setups including a couple of custom built rods, but without a doubt, my favorite is my 7 ft Kisler Helium and Calcutta. I can throw just about anything on that rig and hold it all day. Its super light.

I used to like the H20 extreme rods from academy. Paired with various abu Garcias. U have some medium light at Croix customs and a couple g Loomis for walleye that are ahhhmazing. You can feel everything!!!
It's simple. get a mud motor. shoot ducks in the face.

Oneida with a Synergy TI20 spooled with Monkey Wire

Will how do you like that Oneida? For years I've monitored craigskist and just bought old crappy low draw weight compound bows and then mounted the ams reels to them. I've got 5 of them now rigged up and I'm considering buying myself an Oneida and letting my friends shoot all the other ones. Is there a big advantage? Let off used to bug me, but I feel like I've gotten so used to it that I don't even notice it anymore.

My throw around reel is a Shimano Caenan, it's my wade fishing reel. I have it on a MXF66 rod (custom built) with recoil guides & split grip setup.
Rod builder I use is Custom Coastal Rods (mycustomrod.com)
I have used Waterloo, Castaway etc. Castaway is actually coming out with a new intro rod for around $100 that is fairly custom. I was talking to the owner the other day about the new production line coming out. I own about 10 of their rods.
The new Concept 13 reel is pretty bad arse but I have not personally thrown one yet.
For the fishing I do the lightest reel & rod combo works the best. After 1000 casts it can get old holding a broom stick.

I'm a fan of the Johnny Morris Signature reels....and this rod is a Johnny Morris Carbonlite with microguides.

i have a few older Cast~Away rods that I always bring along with me . My main rods I use are falcon rods. Just my preference. I won a free Blair wiggins edition Wright & McGill rod. I dunno if it's with a shit but I'll give it a try.
